Created by yarn crafters for yarn crafters, Yarn Food is a small UK business based in Devon, specialising in fibre-specific washes and blocking products designed to gently care for the yarns we love most. Their plant-derived, no-rinse formulas are designed to clean, nourish and preserve natural fibres, helping your knits and crochet projects stay soft, fresh and beautifully finished for longer.

Blocking Sprays

Sometimes your knits just need a little refresh rather than a full soak. Yarn Food’s blocking sprays are designed to revive stitches, smooth fabric, and help reshape projects while nourishing fibres at the same time.

We stock all Yarn Food blocking spray varieties, including:

  • Wool Blocking Spray — ideal for wool and animal fibres, enriched with lanolin and a subtle lavender fragrance to refresh and revive your makes while helping maintain softness and structure.
  • Cotton Blocking Spray — specially formulated for plant fibres, helping cotton and linen projects relax and reshape beautifully.
  • Sensitive Blocking Spray — a fragrance-free option for sensitive skin and scent-sensitive makers.

Perfect for shawls, garments, socks, and everyday knits, these sprays are brilliant for quick refreshes, travel knitting, and giving finished projects that polished, professional finish we all love.

How it works

Pin your garment to dimension and lightly spray from a distance of about 20cm. Avoid soaking the fabric. A fine coat of mist will suffice to feed the fibres and freshen it up. Gently pad the garment into shape while the formula is sinking in. Leave to dry.
